It depends on where you live, because tax laws vary across the world. Generally speaking though, income taxes, social security, and medicare taxes are withheld from an employee's paycheck. You might also have other deductions for health insurance or retirement plans.

Referring to U.S. laws, you'd have income taxes (federal, state, local), social security taxes, Medicare taxes. You could also take some of that as contributions to retirement plans, like a 401(k). You'll also want to take health insurance premiums.
