How do you calculate stock value?

It depends on what kind of stock it is. For shares, just check the current price and multiply by how many you have.
If you're talking about stock, as in "inventory", you'd look at what it cost when you bought it and see if it's worth more or less now. Not sure the context.

Are you talking about shares in a company? If so, stock value can be calculated as: Number of Shares x Price per Share

In accounting you could be talking about your inventory. If that's what you mean, then you'd need to get into FIFO and LIFO.
