You probably don't really care about accounting. It's most likely not what you're hoping to do for your profession, so it's not interesting enough for you to work hard.

Everybody has something that just clicks for them. Figure out what your skills are and what you're comfortable doing every day, and then you'll find that it's easier to work through tough problems. If you run into problems doing something that doesn't really matter to you, there's no real incentive to work hard enough to figure it out. Hence, many people don't do well in accounting.

All you need to do is focus on understanding the theoretical part of accounting e.g double entry and how it works then when it comes to practical you can then use your knowledge of theory to answer questions.
