When you "foot" a column of numbers do you put a capital "F" next to it?

Not usually. When you "foot" a column, you sum up the numbers to get a total. You'd probably just write "Total" or just underline the final sum, but there's no need to put a capital "F" next to it.

No, most companies wouldn't put a capital F. It's much more common to just say "total."
"Foot" just means total.
