Should one be excellent in mathematics to learn accounting?

I mean, you should like numbers, but you don't need advanced trigonometry. It's definitely numbers based, but you're not calculating the trajectory of a moon lander. Much of what you're doing is just looking at what happened and adding it up.

You don't have to be a math whiz to learn accounting, but having a good grasp of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division definitely makes things easier. It's more about understanding how to interpret numbers and follow processes rather than complex math.

Not necessarily. While strong math skills can certainly help, especially with calculations and understanding financial data, accounting is more about understanding concepts, procedures, and regulations. You need to know GAAP as much as you need to know arithmetic. You mainly need good analytical skills and attention to detail rather than being a math genius.

I think you don't need to be super good at math to learn accounting. I didn't do well with any math above geometry, but I still aced my accounting class. It's more about memorizing when to use which formulas, and if we're being honest, software will handle most of that if you have a good one.
