Make sure to keep up with your coursework. If you miss an important concept, the professor will not slow down and wait for you. You've got to keep up on each homework assignment and really make sure you're getting it, otherwise you'll just get run over as new concepts are added.

It's like learning a new language, so when there's a term you don't get, LOOK IT UP.
